Blinded by a Dark Light

I am as a blind man
Wandering in the dark
Poking for some sign of
Life or light or spark
But there’s simply nothing here
No amount of weeping can create
The place in you, I thought I knew
That held something pure and great
I am as a blind man
Fooled by what I felt
Your kiss so sweet
That left me weak
Unveiled as a blistering welt
And I am as a blind dog
Fooled by what I smell
False dreams, blue seas, a gentle breeze
Led me straight into your hell
