Our Hidden Room

Decades old electricity

Slithered its way forward with lightning speed

Established lives, worlds apart

But not in this quick moment

In that small window

Peek into time

Stumbling into the crawlspace of a different dimension

Everything made sense,

Fell into place,

And there it was shattered.

Parts of us left in that pile of glass

Down the corridor

Up hundreds of stories

A lone, dusty door, long forgotten

Creaked as it opened – and what was inside tumbled out violently

Soon the door will be closed again

Reopened? Unlikely.

But in that fraction of a second, we both exchanged

Something only we would ever know

A door shared by two

Key belonging to only you
